These Terms & Conditions apply to quotations, orders and purchases from Australian Massage Tables (“AMT”). By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Products and custom orders
AMT manufactures professional timber massage tables, including custom-built and made-to-order products. Customers are responsible for checking all agreed measurements, height, width, colour, finish, accessories and other specifications before approving an order.
2. Quotes, prices and payment
Unless stated otherwise, prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. A quotation is based on the specifications and delivery details supplied at the time. Changes requested after acceptance may affect the price and completion time.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by AMT management, or covered by an approved Rent-to-Own Agreement, all orders must be paid in full before collection or dispatch.
Deposits, progress payments and final balances are payable as stated in the quotation or invoice where alternative payment arrangements have been approved by AMT management.
3. Cancellations and change of mind
AMT is not required to provide a refund or exchange where a customer changes their mind, selects the wrong colour, supplies incorrect measurements or no longer requires the product.
Custom-built and made-to-order products are not normally returnable for change of mind. If a customer asks to cancel before dispatch, AMT may consider the request at its discretion. AMT may retain reasonable costs already incurred, including materials, labour, payment fees, packaging and other costs directly connected with the order.
These change-of-mind conditions do not apply where the customer is entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Delivery
Any manufacturing or delivery date is an estimate unless AMT agrees otherwise in writing. Customers should inspect the packaging and table on delivery. If there is visible transport damage, please note it with the delivery driver where possible and contact AMT promptly, preferably within 48 hours, with photographs. This request assists with courier claims and does not limit the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Please contact AMT before returning any product. Provide the customer’s name, order or invoice number, date received, a description of the issue and clear photographs or video where available.
Where a product has a major failure, the customer may choose a refund or replacement in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. Where a failure is not major, AMT may initially provide a repair within a reasonable time. Other remedies may apply depending on the circumstances.
For a large or heavy product that is faulty and qualifies for a remedy, AMT will arrange collection or reimburse reasonable return freight as required by law. If an inspection finds that there is no fault covered by law or warranty, AMT will advise the customer of any proposed inspection, collection or return costs before those costs are incurred.
6. Approved change-of-mind returns
If AMT agrees in writing to accept a change-of-mind return for a standard, non-custom product, the item must be unused, undamaged and suitably protected for transport. The customer is responsible for approved change-of-mind return freight and any reasonable costs disclosed and agreed before the return.
7. Five-year replacement warranty
Eligible AMT massage tables include a 5-Year Replacement Warranty. If the structural timber table breaks or develops persistent, serious structural squeaking during normal intended use because of a manufacturing or workmanship defect, AMT will replace the affected structural component or, where necessary, the table with the same or an equivalent product after assessment.
The 5-Year Replacement Warranty does not cover upholstery, foam, finishes, removable accessories or other non-structural components. Please read the full Warranty Policy linked in the website footer.
8. Proper use and care
Products must be assembled, used, maintained and stored in accordance with their intended purpose and any instructions supplied. Damage caused by misuse, impact, overloading, unsuitable environments, moisture, harsh chemicals, unauthorised modifications or unauthorised repairs may not be covered by AMT’s voluntary warranty. These exclusions do not remove rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
